What is the Quartz LIMS Connector?
The Quartz LIMS Connector is a Microsoft Teams bot that delivers real-time laboratory notifications from Quartz LIMS directly into Teams. It bridges on-premise lab instruments and workflows with your Teams channels and personal chats so analysts, lab managers, and requestors stay informed without ever leaving the Teams app.
How Notifications Work
- Trigger: Your Quartz LIMS system generates a notification when a job status changes (e.g., an analysis is complete).
- Transit: LIMS sends the notification to the Quartz LIMS Connector service hosted in Azure.
- Delivery: The Connector delivers the notification as an Adaptive Card to the appropriate Teams channel or user.
Notifications can be targeted to:
- Specific users: Targeted by email address or UPN (delivered as a personal direct message).
- Specific teams/channels: Posted directly to a configured Teams channel.
- All registered channels: Broadcast to every channel where the bot is currently installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find my Tenant ID?
Your organization's Tenant ID is displayed in the welcome message when the bot is first added to a team or personal chat. It is also shown in the help response. Provide this ID to your Quartz LIMS Administrator to complete the setup.
Why am I not receiving notifications?
- Confirm that your Quartz LIMS Administrator has registered your organization's Tenant ID.
- Verify that the bot is still installed in the relevant team or personal chat.
- Check that your email address in Teams matches the targeting configuration in Quartz LIMS.
- Try sending a test command to confirm the bot is responsive.
Can I receive notifications in multiple channels?
Yes. Simply install the bot in each channel where you want notifications to appear. Each installation is registered independently.
How is my data protected?
