Terms of Service for Quartz LIMS Connector

By installing and using the Quartz LIMS Connector ("the App"), you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Description of Service
The App is a relay service designed to transmit notifications generated by a Quartz LIMS instance to Microsoft Teams. It is designed to work in conjunction with your installation of Quartz LIMS.
2. User Responsibilities
- API Security: You are responsible for the security and confidentiality of the API key provided during the onboarding process.
- Authorized Use: You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose of laboratory communication.
- Infrastructure: You are responsible for ensuring your local Quartz LIMS environment is correctly configured to communicate with the App endpoint.
3. Service Level & Availability
- Pass-Through Nature: The App is a pass-through relay. We do not generate the laboratory data contained within the notifications.
- Dependency: Service availability is dependent on the uptime of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Teams. We are not liable for communication delays or failures for any reason.
4. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property rights in the App, including its code and branding, belong to Quartz Imaging Corporation.
- Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App within their authorized Quartz LIMS and Microsoft Teams environments.
5. Limitation of Liability
Quartz Imaging Corporation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data or laboratory productivity.
6. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
